Pokolm-Voha's Future Generation Tool (FGT) series is built to handle high-precision cutting applications in hardened materials.
This line features ball nose, corner radius, and Toric end mills with enhanced corner radius geometry, a radius tolerance of +/- 0.005 microns, and a new shank-recess system that improves transition curves between the shank and cutting edge. The tools are made of ultra-micrograin carbide, designed to hardmill materials up to 58 HRc.
In combination, these features of the FGT tool line mean improved tool life, better performance, improved resistance to vibration and better rigidity compared to similar tooling. The FGT series also offers increased reach for milling deep ribs and contours.
The FGT ball and Toric endmills provide high performance roughing to finishing of graphite, non-ferrous materials and titanium alloys. These tools are available in Pokolm’s PVDiaG diamond coating (10,000 HV) with 4-6 micron thickness on a KAC substrate of micrograin carbide.
